New Contacts, upcoming hauls, and more!

Hey beauties! So my new contacts have finally arrived! One pair I love and the other I am still on the boat about, but I'm not telling which is which yet. I have taken pictures and I will get them on here ASAP!

Also, I have three upcoming hauls. One mini one of a few new products I got. And two, yes two, Halloween ones. I love Halloween time, especially when stores put out all those awesome makeup and face painting kits, eyelashes and more! So, on two separate trips I picked up quite of few of those. Can't wait to show you.

Also, are you interested in the essentials I keep in my makeup bag? Check it out here and let me know what essentials you keep in yours, too!

My 50 Shades

We all do it. Any of you who is an avid reader of novels especially. You hear someone described. You put together their personality. Soon, the perfect image draws itself up in your head and now you have the perfect character in mind.

50 Shades of Grey...need I say more?

I am sure most 50 Shades fans have heard of the upcoming movie, and of course a fourth book. I, myself, am currently on the second in the, as of now, triology. Before my discovery and knowledge of a 50 shades movie, I had the perfect image in my head of my beloved Christian Grey. From the sexy body right down those intimidating grey eyes.

Now it may just be my opinion, but there is nothing more disappointing to me then when a best-selling book that I have grown to love decides upon a movie. The actors never fit up to my expectations of the perfect characters in my mind. Of course, that is no ones fault.

Let's take a look at the nominees rumoured to play Christian Grey. There is Chace Crawford-neh, not enough personaity. Channing Tatum- Magic Mike...yes please! But Christian Grey? Not so much. Ian Somerhalder- my god what a sexy almost perfect man. But Christian Grey? Hmm... maybe but I feel his intimidating sexy would come out more as Damon from Vampire Diaries then my Christian Grey. The rumored man to have made the part is Matt Bomer-yes, I think he could pull the part of looks off pretty good, but personality I am not too sure as of yet. The problem still exists though, that none of them are the perfect Christian I dreamed up in my head. So on my own quest to find a close call to my Christian(this tooks lots of research) I think maybe, just maybe I found him! He may not be your Christian Grey but he sure as hell is mine.Yummy!

And It is Time for an Eye Change!

I have went through many contacts through out my short life, having been wearing contacts since I was in the 6th grade. Like any curious guy or girl out there, I have also went through many different colored contacts. I have tried different shades of blue, brown, green, violet, and I even had some of those crazy Halloween type ones. The contacts that always stood out the most on me and got me noticed were my green contacts( I have had two different kinds) hence my newly popular nickname...Money Eyes -_- ... I have been wearing green contacts for about 4 years now and I am happy/sad <---- is this bipolar?...to say that I am finally ready for a change!
Please excuse the embarassing duckface
Most of you may not realize how giant of a step this is for me as I have grown quite attached to my green eyes. OH...elephant in the room...my natural eyes are a hazel by the way with hints of brown, grey, and green. There is nothing wrong with the peepers I was born in, I just like to be different is all.

I am thinking grey...what do you guys think? Too late anyways because they have already been ordered. Yes, more then one. I have to have a backup just in case. I ordered Freshlook Colorblends in Sterling Grey, and GEO Magic Color - Angel Color Contact LensesModel: CM-835. I am hoping these are just the right change and shade for me.
Here is a good look at all the Freshlook Colorblends

Here are the GEO's in Angel Grey. And they are Circle Lenses

I would really love to hear all opinions and also let me know if you have tried any of these. I will gladly post pics when they finally arrive! In the meantime , check these out from two of my absolute favorite Youtube Beauty Guru's!

Some Tips For You

Depending on the products you are using and your goal, you can just about transform anybody to a new look. But let's face it, things will go a whole lot smoother if your skin is well taken care of. Your skincare routine is a big part of your hygeine and how well makeup can apply to your face. There are products out there to help with just about every skin type, whether you have oily skin, dry skin, combination skin, or acne. The one thing you must have down, though, is a routine. You can't moisturize one day a week and expect your skin to be perfect. It just will not happen! I do not by any means have perfect skin, but I try my absolute hardest to take care of it.

Now, I am not going to sit here and tell you what you should do and use in your routine. Otherwise, it would not be your routine now would it? I will share with you though, some good products to have on hand and try to use daily.

  • First and foremost, you need to know your skin type as listed above. There are plenty of products out there that will suit every skin type. All you have to do is research and read labels.
  • Moisturizer is key to healthy skin for every skin type. Even if you have oily skin, there are moisturizers out there for you as well. Many acne-type brands also make moisturizers for acne prone skin with medication in it to treat and prevent breakouts and pesky pimples.
  • A good toner is also very beneficial to the skin. I use two different kinds everyday which I sweep onto my face before my moisturizer. One is to soak up oil for oily skin, and one is to help clean and hide pores. Toner helps to keep a good ph balance in your skin and to restore a good, healthy color.
  • An optional part in your routine can be the many types of serums offered out there. They make them for baggy under eye circles, for wrinkles, to tone and tighten the face, and some more pricey brands contain retinol in them, so be sure to read your labels before buying anything.
  • Always, always, always make sure you have a good cleanser for the face above all else. Those are also made with different kinds of skin types in mind as well. Cleansing your face properly will help to ensure all the benefits of nice clean and healthy skin!

More to Come

Hey Beauties! It has been so long since I have blogged, but I am afraid I had put a bit too much on my plate. No worries though! I am back and have got so many reviews and new products to share with you. So please stay tuned for everything makeup! Stay pretty loves.

Review!

Hard Candy Take It Off Makeup Remover

Hey All! It's Review Time! I picked this up at the store the other day. Now, normally I go the easier route with makeup wipes, but the store was out of the only ones I like (which is made by Garnier Fructis btw, those wipes work amazingly), plus I have been hearing that wipes are not to good for your face. I found this while browsing the make up aisles and decided to give it a try.
Its says on the front that it is the "Ultimate makeup remover, erases glitter, waterproof & long lasting products." It has a white, creamy consistency and comes in a 2.7oz. bottle. Well, I loved this product. It fully does everything it says it does. My everyday makeup does mostly consist of long lasting products and waterproof mascara and eyeliner and this remover takes it off like a dream. Of course, I obviously do not use it for the rest of my face (I have been using a generic brand of makeup wipes). I think I just may include this product in my cleansing routine and just keep using the wipes for face make up. I have tried other makeup removers from L'oreal and Neutrogena and was not impressed. They were the liquid types and they did nothing for removing my makeup other then just smudging it around.
It works simply like any other makeup remover. I just put it onto a tissue and wipe off. I even accidentally got a glob of it in my eye and starting freaking because I thought it was going to burn, but it did not! Of course I did wash out my eye! I would recommend this makeup remover to anyone. It is a great product for a cheaper price. I think I paid maybe $6.99? That is an estimate and the price may have been even lower. Also, you can get Hard Candy products right at Walmart. So, if you haven't tried this out yet or seen it and is wondering how good it works, get it! It is definitely worth it!

Drugstore Haul

Here is my Drugstore Haul Post. I may be a little late then the rest of you with some of this stuff but I just picked up all these new products the other day. I have not tried any of it yet but I hope to try out some of it today. So, cannot wait for that!
  • So, the first thing I got was the L'oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer. I have been hearing so many good things about this product so I am super excited to try it out. It will definitely be one of the products I try out today.
  • Next, I decided to grab some of the new L'oreal 24 hour Infallible eye shadows. They look to be very pigmented but I have not tried any of them  yet. The colors I got were 891 Continuous Cocoa, 999 Internal Black, and 890 Bronzed Taupe. All the colors seem to be very shimmery looking from their cases. The continuous cocoa may be a bit more matte looking then the others.
  • I also decided to pick up one of the new Maybelline Color Tattoo colors from Eyestudio. The color I picked was 05 Too Cool which looks like a shimmery milky white color, because I am not really into cream based eye shadows so I thought this would make a good highlight. If I like it, I may buy more. But, I will definitely let you guys know how that product works out.
  • More from Maybelline, I got two Dream Bouncy Blushes. They are supposed to blend into your face like a cream but feel and set like a powder basically. I have been eager to try these out because I have been running out of blushes that I like lately. The consistency of this blush is SO cool but I have not tried it on my face yet. The colors I got were 15 Rose Petal and 60 Coffee Cake, which is a more darker color.
So, that's all for my drugstore haul. I know it is not much and there are some more new products out there but I did not want to grab too much until I could try these ones out first. Once I have tried them for a little bit I will give you an honest review of them all. Thanks for reading guys and if any of you have tried these products already, please let me know what you thought of them!

Review!

Too Faced Natural Flirt Makeup Collection

OK, So I would like to apologize ahead of time and say that, I AM SO SORRY that I am unable to give you images and photo's of my own. I would love nothing more then to show you my actual products and be able to show you some swatches, but as of right now my laptop is being a major pain in my ass. It will not read any of my drives for some reason. It won't even read my Ipod :' ( !!!! But until I am able to figure out what is wrong with the POS, I would still love nothing more then to be able to review products with you. So, I promise to do my best working with what I do and do not have.

I received the Too Faced Natural Flirt Collection about a week ago now, and I kind of have mixed feelings about it.
So, that is what it looks like. What is included in the kit is:
  • The Makeup Bag
  • Glamour Volumizing Lip Gloss in the Shade This Is Pretty!
  • Too Faced Shadow Insurance in Candlelight
  • A Petite Pouf /Brush
  • LashGasm Mascara in black
  • Peach Leopard Bronzer
  • Exotic Color Eyeshadow( I do not know if the kits are different, but mine came with the color Magic Mushroom)
I was super excited to receive this collection because mostly I love Too Faced products, but I had not really bought any recently. First, the bag is super cute and a little bigger then I expected. It is still small enough to fit into your handbag though, if it is a pretty good sized handbag. It definitely would not fit into one that is on the smaller side. I was under the impression that the bag would be completely in satin, but it is not. The inside and black, lacy parts are satin while the outside has a plastic coating on it. I actually found this a relief so it would not get as dirty and be easier to clean.

The lip gloss is...eh. I mean it's not bad by any means . By looking at it, I thought it would be a little more pigmented then it is, but it comes out pretty much clear. It is definitely not my favorite lip gloss and I probably will not use it very much. It does not do much for volumizing either.

The Shadow Insurance I do like very much, only if I was to buy it again, it would not be in Candlelight. I personally prefer a more clear, milky colored primer and this one is pretty much a bright gold. I happen to love gold, but it is not always the look I am going for and it just seems hard to cover up to me. Now, I know there is a lot of debate between the Too Faced Shadow Insurance and the Urban Decay Primer Potion. Hmmm... I see a new Debate post and Review in the near future.

The Petite Pouf is super adorable! It is very small though and would probably only really be useful for your purse and on-the-go touch ups. I love that you can push it back down into its little slot so the hairs do not get ruined while storing.

The LashGasm Mascara I like very much. Of course the kit only gives you a deluxe sized sample of it, as with the Shadow Insurance. It is a 3.9 ml. tube. I love the brush bristles and they are able to reach those hard to get to lashes, and it definitely does not clump!

The Peach Leopard Bronzer seems to be what most people love about the collection, but I do not love it...yet. But, I have only used it once since I have gotten it, so there is not really much I can say about it yet other then the colors are nice.

Lastly, the Exotic Color Eyeshadow in Magic Mushroom. It is a very nice color. It seems to be very pigmented and very shimmery. Personally, I do not really use too much pinks in my makeup style, so although the color is very nice I do not really see myself using this as an eyeshadow. I will probably get more use out of it as a brightener.

All in all, I am happy with the purchase and got some great products out of it that I love. I would recommend this collection if you are a Too Faced fan.

There are my personal thoughts on the kit and of course I would love to know your opinions on it as well. Feel free to comment with any questions!

Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

So OK, I may be a little late on this bandwagon, but hey better late then never right? After many good reviews, I finally decided to order this product, and received it a few days ago. God, what the hell have I been missing? This stuff is great!

For those who do not know what this is, it kinda works like a primer, but for after you apply your makeup. It is designed to keep your makeup looking fresh and just applied for 16 hours! Now, my primer always worked pretty well for me on it's own, but 16 hours later I would have to admit you could still find me in the bathroom touching up my makeup. Not with this stuff! After a long stressful day at work and running around with my two kids, at the end of the night my makeup still looks freshly applied!

My only cons about this product is I would spray it on BEFORE mascara. Also, it tends to leave you with a dewy kind of look and that works for some but I personally do not like it. So, most of the time after it dries, I will go back over it with a finishing powder.

If you haven't tried this product already and are thinking about it, give it a go. I doubt you will regret it!

Urban Decay does not test on animals.
